One of the first things I started to look for when we began our homeschool journey was where to find high quality books while spending as little money as possible. The best way to do this is by being selective in the first place. Here are 4 things to consider before buying curriculum to make sure you don’t waste time, energy or your hard earned money! This comprehensive list of where to find used books and curriculum is sure to have some treasures for your homeschool.
Just be careful when shopping used, that you know what should be included so you can ask any questions ahead of time and verify that nothing is missing. Sometimes the deal is not the deal when you have to piecemeal as it could cost you more in the long run.
Amazon -often used book stores will sell their books on Amazon as well so keep an eye out for links to “Used” books before buying new.
Facebook Marketplace or Local Homeschool FB Group
Check with your local Homeschool Co-op or Support group for sales or members to swap with.
Don’t forget to check out your local used book store, consignment sale, or thrift stores (I am always amazed at the great books people give away and I love ‘rescuing’ them even more!) This is usually where I find the cheapest prices!
